True Love-Scripture vs Society

TO ALL OF THE SINGLE & TAKEN GUYS AND GALS…

I encourage you to read the book of Ruth; a story that conveys what true love looks and acts like.
Hollywood has distorted the meaning of love as a feeling of affection, but true love goes so much deeper than mere feelings. Feelings constantly change and I honestly do not want a love that is based on something that constantly changes, do you?

Nowhere in the story of Ruth does the bible say that Boaz and Ruth were physically attracted to one another, but Boaz “noticed” Ruth because of her strength as a woman, her labor of love for her mother-in-law Naomi, and her intense work ethic, but most of all, she was woman of virtue.

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭5:14

BOAZ IS THE STANDARD FOR YOU MEN

It takes a strong God-fearing man to stand firm in the situation Boaz was in. Guys, this is the standard for you. You should be the moral leader who protects the purity and reputation of the women you associate yourself with. This is what real manhood is about. Your Ruth will come.

RUTH IS THE STANDARD FOR YOU WOMEN

Likewise, ladies please don’t compromise yourself or God’s standards to get attention from a guy. Let the attention you receive from any man, be attention that stems from your inner beauty, character and virtue. Your Boaz will come.

This story has helped me in the past to understand what kind of love I should be looking for and showing…virtue, inspiration, and patience.

We live in a time where ungodliness is everywhere, but we need to be that light, a light that leaves no room for darkness.

Please take the time and read through this beautiful love story and I “hope” that you are encouraged!

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭5:16‬

  1. I remember a while ago I touched on some very powerful emotional intimacy with a wonderful person and the song of songs came right to my head as I was walking home that night.

    🙂

First time that scripture ever made a lot of sense to me in a very magical way. I started understanding the love of God in a much more real way and a lot of burden came off my shoulders.

  2. Thank you so much for posting this! I have been struggling recently in the area of boys and needed it. What if I really just want someone whose going to hold me? I have been dealing with some nasty bullies lately and really beginning to get desperate. Help!

    1. Faith, know that God holds you and not just hugs you but holds you together! Do you want a love based on feelings, needs, and desires? Or one founded on Christ and reflects faithfulness, trust, honesty, and a love that the man God has for you would sacrifice his love, desires, and dreams for you? God has that for you, faith!! Keep focused and place your hope in Jesus. It sounds easy, and believe me I know it’s not, but dear, it will be oh so worth it!! I can’t wait for the day when you come and I see your comment that “I have found the one that my soul loves (Song of Solomon 3:4)”!!! So exciting just continue walking in faith not your feelings ❤️

  3. Beautifully written! The key-words in this story are love and faith. Ruth is a type of Christ’s Gentile bride and her experience is similar to that of any devout Christian.
